The idea that regular sound pulses ("isochronic tones") can entrain brainwaves toward a target frequency is a real research area, but the most rigorous systematic reviews call it inconsistent: a review of 14 controlled binaural-beat studies (Ingendoh et al., PLOS ONE, 2023) found contradictory results — 5 studies supported the brainwave-entrainment hypothesis, 8 contradicted it, and methodological heterogeneity limits any firm conclusion. A broader review (Kanzler et al.) reports positive findings more often but acknowledges an almost complete lack of properly randomized, double-blind trials on isochronic tones specifically (only 2 of 33 trials reviewed). A more recent trial using isochronic tones with salivary cortisol measurement (Kanzler et al., 2026) reported improved perceived stress after 21 days of daily listening — an encouraging but isolated result, in a sample of corporate workers, not yet replicated. Nothing in this video measures any actual effect on the vagus nerve or cortisol in its listeners; the vocabulary ("parasympathetic," "entrainment") is biologically accurate, but proof that this specific mix produces this specific effect is absent. Verdict: unproven — a real research area, still too heterogeneous to settle, applied here with no measurement of its own.
