Keeping your everyday glucose spikes smaller may slow one mechanism behind skin aging: glycation, which stiffens and yellows skin over time.

Stripped of the promotional funnel ("drop YES and I'll DM you the full episode"), the claim is: glucose spikes accelerate aging through glycation. The mechanism itself is solid and well documented: glucose binds non-enzymatically to collagen and elastin to form advanced glycation end-products (AGEs), which stiffen skin, reduce its elasticity, yellow it, and trigger inflammation via the RAGE receptor (Zheng et al. 2022, Nutrients review; Park & Kwon 2025 review on refined carbohydrates and skin aging). A mouse model published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology (Zhang et al. 2024) confirms that a high-sugar diet accelerates this skin damage through AGE accumulation. The weaker link is extending this to isolated "spikes" in someone whose baseline glucose is otherwise normal: most of the evidence ties chronic exposure (sustained hyperglycemia, diabetes) to AGE buildup, not specifically occasional post-meal spikes in a metabolically healthy person. So the mechanism is real, but the claim as framed generalizes a bit quickly from a mostly chronic-hyperglycemia literature to any one-off spike.
